Accessibility

Scarlett, Inc. wants everyone to be able to use scarlettinc.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Our site is tested with automated accessibility checks and by hand with a keyboard, in light and dark mode and on phone and desktop screen sizes. Features include:

• A “Skip to content” link as the first item on every page
• Full keyboard access to menus, the cart, forms, and calculators
• Text alternatives for informative images
• Text and controls with sufficient color contrast
• A pause button for moving content, and reduced motion for visitors who ask their device for it
• Pages that reflow on small screens and when zoomed

Known limitations

• Checkout is hosted by Shopify, and our contact and reorder forms are provided by Tally. We choose providers that support accessibility, but we don’t control their pages.
• Videos are hosted on YouTube. Some older videos have only YouTube’s automatic captions.
• Older blog posts were moved from our previous website. We are still reviewing them, and some images may have limited descriptions.
